A one day workshop cum technical session was today organized by District Industries Centre Kathua to impart training to industrialists registered with DIC Kathua regarding registration under New Central Sector Scheme for Industrial Development of Union Territory of  Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
General Manager, DIC, Kathua Sh. Prem Singh, IPO Sh. Vishawdeep Singh and IPO Sh. Iqbal Singh dwelt at length about the provisions of New Central Sector Scheme 2021 and the various issues pertaining to registrations of eligible industrial units under this scheme.
It was apprised that NCSS-2021 scheme of Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Govt. of India covers all the manufacturing and service sector industries in the UT. It was apprised that the manufacturing sector and service sector industry can avail the benefit of 30-50% Capital Investment Subsidy, 6% Interest Subsidy on term loan as well as 5% Interest subsidy on working capital and GST Linked Incentive for new units only.
Also, it was apprised that the department has already started the process of online registration through online portal of jknis.dpiit.gov.in . Unit holders were also apprised about various formalities required for registration and a checklist was also shared with them. Online filing of application for registration under NCSS-2021 in respect of some of the units was also done.
In the end, GM DIC Kathua has emphasized to unit holders/representatives for early online filing of application on portal(jknis.dpiit.gov.in so that the registration process under the scheme can be completed at the earliest.
